Week 3 Recap: 3 weeks of crappy play down and many more to go. Was I right on my crappy choices? Let’s see. First off, I said to sit Kyler Murray and Bo Nix at QB. Murray ended up with 159 yards passing, 37 yards rushing, and 1 TD. Not good enough; I was right to sit him. Nix, meanwhile, had 153 yards passing, 33 yards rushing, and 1 TD. Also not good enough, so I was right to sit him too. At RB, I said to sit Josh Jacobs and Chuba Hubbard. Hubba Bubba got 73 yards rushing, 3 yards receiving, and nothing else. Again I was right with the sitting call. Jacobs had 30 yards rushing, 44 yards receiving, and nothing else. Being right just feels so nice. At wide out, I said to sit Drake London and Ladd McConkey. London ended up with 55 yards receiving and nothing else, thereby showing my skills of being right as applicable here too. McConkey, however, had 41 yards and nothing else. Oops, I was right to sit him as well. For the ends of tightness, I said to sit Ja’Tavion Sanders and Dalton Schultz. Sanders got 11 yards receiving and nothing else, while Schultz ended up with 39 yards and nothing else as well, so I was right to sit both of them. For the team defenses, I said to sit the Browns and the Steelers. Well, my streak ends for the Brownies won, gave up only 10 points, along with 5 sacks and a pick, thereby making me wrong to sit them. The Steelers also won, gave up only 14 points, along with 5 sacks, 4 fumble recoveries, and a pick. I ended with another wrong to sit. Still, not too shabby. Let’s jump into week 4.
QB:
Drake Maye – He has been a solid top 10 QB so far this year, but he faces the top ranked pass D in Carolina this week. Not so good boss.
Aaron Rodgers – Expect similar results as his last 2 games and not week 1 as he faces a top 3 pass D in Minnesota in Ireland this week.
RB:
Jonathan Taylor – Dare you bench him? Do you have another viable option? Consider it as he faces the #1 rush D in the league in the Rams.
Travis Etienne, Jr. – Solid, consistent numbers so far this year. But this week, he faces a San Fran D that will be the best he has seen so far against the rush. Volume may be there, but YPC won’t. Better hope for a 1 or 2 yard TD.
WR:
Tee Higgins – If the last game with Browning as his QB is indicative, then I’m sorry Higgins owners. Add that to a solid Broncos pass D makes me worry for him again this week.
D. K. Metcalf – He is just not getting the volume. Plus, this week he faces the #1 pass D in Minnesota. Not the match up you want.
TE:
Zach Ertz – Daniels is out, but that does not matter as he faces an Atlanta D that is currently #1 in the league against the position. Sit him regardless of the QB.
Mark Andrews – Back to life for he will fall as he faces the #3 team in Kansas City against the position. Back to reality.
D:
Steelers – No Irish luck for them this week. Don’t buy what they showed against New England. Minnesota and Mason will run all over them.
Browns – So, I was wrong last week, and they got fortunate and won at home against the Pack. They won’t be so lucky this week, and they will be back in the losing column on the road in Detroit.
