Week 4 Recap: Already, we are at 22% of the way done with the season. Is that about my sitting prediction percentage too? I hope not. Let’s see how I did last week. First off, at QB, I said to sit Aaron Rodgers and Drake Maye. Rodgers ended up with 200 yards passing, 8 yards rushing, and 1 TD. Not good enough; I was right to sit him. Maye, meanwhile, got 203 yards passing, 11 yards rushing, and 3 TDs. I was wrong to sit him. At running back, I said to sit Travis Etienne and Jonathan Taylor. In his game, Etienne ended up with 124 yards rushing and a TD; I was wrong to sit him. Taylor got 76 yards rushing, 20 yards receiving, and nothing else. Not good enough; I was right to sit him. At wide out, I said to sit D. K. Metcalf and Tee Higgins. Metcalf, thanks to the one big play, ended up with 126 yards receiving and a TD making me wrong to sit him. Higgins led his team in receiving with 32 yards and nothing else, so I was right to sit him. At tight end, I said to sit Zach Ertz and Mark Andrews. Ertz ended up with 21 yards receiving and nothing else so I was right to sit him. Andrews, meanwhile, got 30 yards receiving and also nothing else, so I was right to sit him too. For the team defenses, I said to sit the Steelers and the Browns. The Steelers ended up winning, giving up 21 points, along with 6 sacks and 2 picks. I was wrong to sit them. The Browns, on the other hand, lost, gave up 34 points, along with a pick. I was right to sit them. Okay, now that we took care of that, let’s jump into Week 5.
QB:
Tua Tagovailoa – I was wrong to start him last week in a favorable matchup, so he will probably shine this week without Tyreek and an unfavorable matchup. Not worth the gamble however.
Trevor Lawrence – Not a good bye week sub since he has not been stellar, and he faces a Chiefs pass D that is top 10 in the league.
RB:
Chase Brown – It’s a dumpster fire without Burrows in Cincy. They have played some good run defenses so far, and they have another good one this week. A Detroit team that is in the top 10 against the position. Bench him.
Jordan Mason – Pittsburgh’s average at best rush D slowed him last week. What do you think a top 3 rush D in Cleveland will do to him this week? No thanks.
WR:
Devonta Smith – When A. J. Brown makes noise, the next game is usually loud for him. And this will mean, you guessed it, crickets for Smith.
Travis Hunter – Just wanted to make sure you are still not drinking his Kool-Aid. Jack of all trades – Master of none? Hmmmm.
TE:
Hunter Henry – It is one of those weeks that Henry puts up a goose egg as he faces a top 3 pass D against the position in Buffalo.
Mark Andrews – I was right to bench him last week, and I will be this week too, as he faces a top 5 pass D against the position in the Texans.
D:
Browns – I mean, I have included them somewhere each week so far so why not keep the streak alive? So, this week I say they put another loss on the board, this time against a solid Vikings D coming off a tough loss.
Buccaneers – Coming off a 1st loss. Going west for a late game. Against a team with extra rest. All the signs point to back to back losses for the Bucs.
