  1. I wonder if Green Bay’s wider receiver usage will change coming out of the Bye Week.  Romeo Daubs (WR-GB) seems like he is not going anywhere, as he has seen the highest snap count in each of the team’s first four games. He also has the most targets (19), receptions (13), receiving yards (179), and receiving TDs (4) in the group.  Jayden Reed (WR-GB) is not returning anytime soon.  The question I have is whether or not Matthew Golden (WR-GB) sees a considerable uptick in usage and targets in Week 06. To me, if Golden is going to become a thing in fantasy football, this is the time, especially considering Christian Watson (WR-GB) will also be returning here soon.  If Golden does nothing more than what he has done thus far in Week 06, it may be time to move on.  I am not saying it cannot happen for him at some point in 2025, but it would seem much less likely.

  1. Speaking of teams coming off their Bye Week, I will be watching the backfield in Chicago fairly closely. D’Andre Swift (RB-Chi) has had a pretty good grip on the snaps, but 3.3 yards per carry is not going to keep this job.  Kyle Monangai (RB-Chi) is not really lighting it up either, but his6 yards per carry is technically higher than 3.3.  What is interesting is that both Swift and Monangai have a 1.8 yards before contact per rushing attempt, so Monangai’s 0.3 YPC advantage is coming from the yards after contact attempt.  In other words, he is getting slightly more yardage after contact that Swift. Monangai’s rush attempts per broken tackle (17) is also better than Swift’s (54).  I am not saying Monangai is overthrowing Swift, particularly given Swift’s history with HC Ben Johnson when they were both in Detroit, but I suspect we will start seeing more of a time-share here starting in Week 06

  1. My reaction to TNF’s Eagles-Giants game is fairly straightforward: I believe Philly’s offense simply is not as good as last season, and it seems like the playcalling to try and get the pass catchers, aka A.J. Brown (WR-Phi) and DeVonta Smith (WR-Phi) more involved is actually making things worse for this offense. Instead of just letting the pass catchers be involved organically, the forcing of it is adversely affecting this offense’s production.  It is also adversely affecting Saquon Barkley (RB-Phi). It will be interesting to see if the coaches will change their approach after dropping two in a row.

  1. Also, I think the continued miss calls of false starts on the offense on the tush-push/brotherly shove as well as Philly running it four plays in a row will ultimately lead to this season being its last.  For Jalen Hurts (QB-Phi) dynasty managers, moving him or moving on from him after this season would be wise.

  1. If you are in need of a sneaky play at IDP for Week 06, look no further than Minkah Fitzpatrick (DB-Mia). With Tyrel Dodson (LB-Mia) ruled out, I envision those available tackle opportunities are going to be there for Fitzpatrick, who will take advantage.

  1. I really want to be a believer in the Jacory Croskey-Merritt (RB-Was) hype.  A league leading 6.6 YPC really helps his case.  If Chris Rodriguez (RB-Was) winds up missing Week 06, I think that would definitely help me in my conversion.

  1. With Ricky Pearsall (WR-SF) ruled out, Kendrick Bourne (WR-SF) once again becomes a solid play, even if Jauan Jennings (WR-SF) plays.  Bourne is a top 30 WR if Jennings plays and a top 20 WR if Jennings does not play.

  1. Quinshon Jenkins (RB-Cle) is averaging the 5th most rushing yards per game (86.8) of any NFL player.  He is also averaging 5 receiving yards per game.  We should be treating him as a top 12 RB moving forward.

  1. If you have Jake Ferguson (TE-Dal) or Darren Waller (TE-Mia), my advice is simply to enjoy the ride.  Ferguson has been lights out with CeeDee Lamb (WR-Da) out of the lineup, but Lamb will return.  Waller has also produced copious fantasy points since getting snaps, but his age and injury history will always make him a bit of a risk.  If you can get high end trade value for either, go for it.  Otherwise, just enjoy the ride.

  1. And finally…, I wonder why the scientist simply does not trust the atoms.  I guess it’s because they make up everything.
