Week 8 recap: It was mega bye week, and we still had to bench some people. Did we choose the right subpar people to sit, even on this week? Let’s see. First off, I said to sit Drake Maye and Daniel Jones. Maye got 282 yards passing, 50 yards rushing, 3 TDs, and a pick. I was wrong to sit him. Jones ended up with 272 yards passing and 3 TDs. I was wrong to sit him too. At RB, I said to sit Rhamondre Stevenson and Jaylen Warren. Stevenson had 34 yards rushing, 15 yards receiving, and nothing else. I was right to sit him. Warren ended up with 62 yards rushing, 11 yards receiving, and nothing else. I was right to sit him too. At wide out, I said to sit the Bills WRs and Deebo Samuel. For the Bills WRs, it’s a push since no one did anything except Khalil Shakir who ended up with 88 yards receiving and a TD. Meanwhile, Deebo got 1 yard rushing, 11 yards receiving, and nothing else, so I was right to sit him. For the tight ends, I said to sit Theo Johnson and Zach Ertz. Johnson ended up with 20 yards receiving and nothing else, while Ertz had only 16 yards receiving and also nothing else. I was right to sit them both. For the team defenses, I said to sit the Steelers and the Browns. The Browns lost, gave up 32 points, along with a fumble recovery, 6 sacks, and a pick. The extras make it close, but no, I was right to sit them. The Steelers also lost, gave up 35 points, along with nothing else. I was right to sit them too.

QB:

Matt Stafford – The Rams will go up big and early. And this means Stafford  will have good stats at halftime, but that will be it. He will not need to do anything the second half so high floor low ceiling kind of a game.

C. J. Stroud – He has not been consistently fantasy valuable, and this week he faces a top 3 pass D in the league in the Broncos. Not a reliable option.

RB:

Jaylen Warren – He faces a top 5 rush D in Indy. Since he cannot be counted on each week, this matchup dependent back is not garnering a good matchup this week to play him.

Rico Dowdle/Chuba Hubbard – Last week I said to start both, and this week I say to sit them both as they face a Packers rush D that is #2 in the league.

WR:

Romeo Doubs – With Watson back and Kraft exploding, combined with the fact the Packers face a top 3 pass D in Carolina, Doubs is not a person I would trust to shine this week.

Courtland Sutton – He faces a Texans D that is top 5 against the pass so far. Call it a hunch or statistical relevant info, but I say he will not have a good game. Look elsewhere.

TE:

Hunter Henry – He faces the #1 ranked team in Atlanta against tight ends. He’s been known to lay some goose eggs. This could be the next one.

Evan Engram – He has less than 43 yards receiving max in any given game and only 1 TD all year, and this week he faces a top 5 pass D in Houston against tight ends. Not a high ceiling here.

D:

Chiefs- Their D is good, but on the road against a playoff rival in the Bills, no thanks. This

game could go either way. Not worth the risk.

Texans – They also have a good D, and while it is a home game, it is against a Denver D that is better on both sides of the ball. Another game that could go either way and not worth the risk.
