QUARTERBACK
Aaron Rodgers (Pit)–The cons are there. His Week 10 performance was not good (161-1-2). He’s probably not throwing for 300 yards or gaining more than 10-15 yards on the ground anymore. But, there are pros. He does have at least 1 passing TD in every game this season. And more importantly, he faces Cincinnati, who have allowed the most passing TDs (23) on the season, and Chicago, who have allowed the 5th most passing TDs (20) on the season, the next two weeks.
Jacoby Brissett (Ari)–Despite the turnovers in Week 10 against Seattle, Brissett still had a solid fantasy day (258-2). Brissett has had solid fantasy production in his 4 starts this season, throwing for 258+ yards and 2 TDs in each game as well as getting a TD on the ground in Week 09.
Deeper League Adds:
Mac Jones (SF)–I am not sure when Brock Purdy (QB-SF) is going to return, but it might still be a while. Jones has thrown for 2 or more TDs in each of his last three starts. He faces a solid Arizona defense in Week 11, but he has faced solid defenses in 2 of his last 3 games and still put up quality fantasy stats.
Tua Tagovailoa (Mia)–If you need a one-week replacement, Tua is not an awful option, considering Miami squares off against a Washington defense that is quite welcoming to the QB, allowing the 2nd most TD passes (22-tied) in the league.
RUNNING BACK
Tyler Allgeier (Atl)–He has double digit carries in five of the nine games Atlanta has played this season, and he has also scored a TD in five of those games, with 6 total TDs on the season. He is a decent Bye Week flex play, and he seems clearly locked in as part of this offense and the hand-cuff to Bijan Robinson (RB-Atl).
Emari Demercado (Ari)-This is more of a “I do not understand why he is not used more” add, as he simply has burst and has the highest YPC (9.0 average) on the team. The caveat, of course, is that Trey Benson (Ari-RB) is eligible to return this week from the I.R.
Chris Rodriguez (Was)-The fantasy community’s patience for more Jacory Coskey-Merritt (RB-Was) is growing thinner and thinner. Meanwhile, Rodriquez Jr. is taking valuable touches, scoring a TD in 3 of the past 4 games (compared to Croskey-Merritt’s 0 TDs during that stretch. Washington gets a Miami defense in Week 11 that is not particularly stout against the run.
Deeper League Add(s):
Blake Corum (LAR)–Kyren Williams (RB-LAC) leads this backfield, but Corum has seen double-digit carries three games in a row. Corum is one of those lottery tickets that could pay off.
Brian Robinson Jr. (SF)–It might just be fluky, but Robinson Jr. Has now scored a TD in back-to-back weeks after not scoring all season.
Tank Bigsby (Phi)– This is the time to start consolidating your team and look to add your RB hand-cuffs in case something were to happen. For Saquon Barkley (RB-Phi) fantasy managers, Bigsby is next in line. There would be a drop-off, though, as he is more of a 2 down back, and I believe Will Shipley (RB-Phi) would also see a bit more usage as well as serve as the 3rd down option on the team.
Tyjae Spears (Ten)–I am not a fan of time-share backs, particularly when the split is pretty even and they are on bad teams. That said, Spears has shown ability in the past, and he looked good at times since his return. He is also averaging 5.1 YPC compared to Tony Pollard (RB-Ten), whose average is 4.0 YPC.
WIDE RECEIVER
Tez Johnson (TB)–The 7th round rookie is slight in stature, but he has shown decent quickness so far. And, he is probably going to be the 2nd-3rd receiving option on this fairly potent offense. He has 42 or more receiving yards in 5 straight games, and he has 4 receiving TDS during that stretch. He is my priority add of the week.
Christian Watson (GB)–Look, I am biased here, as I have been a Watson believer since he entered the league. I have already mentioned him as a deeper league add in past columns when he was still on the I.R. Now he is back. His physical attributes and speed scream WR1. The problem for him has been injuries, playing time, and occasional drops. Romeo Doubs (WR-GB) still looks like the wide receiver to roster on this team, but I would rather go for the upside with Watson, despite the risks. There are targets vacated by the injury to Tucker Kraft (TE-GB). Why can’t Watson see some of them. Just be aware of the issues surrounding him.
Alex Pierce (Ind)–Disclaimer: He is on a Bye Week in Week 11 and will face some stingy pass defenses afterwards Still, he sees snaps (80% or more when healthy), and he gets yards. He is averaging 73.1 receiving yards per game. What has piqued my interest, however, is that he has now seen double digit targets in 2 of his last 4 games after not seeing more than 5 in any previous game, and he has 35 targets total in those 4 games. He is flirting with WR2/3 status.
Deeper League Add(s):
Tyler Lockett (LV)–Despite being 3rd amongst receivers in splaying time in Week 10, he saw the most targets (6). Despite only seeing two games of action with Las Vegas, there is a history between him and Geno Smith (QB-LV). Brock Bowers (TE-LV) is not going to see all the targets. If you need a play for Week 11, Lockett is facing Dallas’s defense, a defense that has given up 22 receiving TDs (tied), which is 2nd most in the league.
TIGHT END
Juwann Johnson (NO)–Rashid Shaheed (WR-Sea) is gone. More targets are up for grabs. He is on a bye for Week 11, but his Week 10 production (4-92-1) in the first game since the Shaheed trade, could be a sign of good things down the stretch.
Theo Johnson (NYG)–Five TD receptions and at least 4 targets in the seven games Jaxson Dart (QB-NYG) has started. This add is somewhat dependent on the health of Dart for Week 11.
Colston Loveland (Chi)–He had an amazing game in Week 09 (6-118-2 on 7 targets), and 4-55 in Week 10 was an okay encore. There is tremendous upside here, but there is also virtually no floor, as he had not topped 38 receiving yards or saw the endzone prior to the last two games. I need to see more, but he is worth a stash if you have the space.
Dawson Knox (Buf)–Dalton Kincaid (TE-Buf) is “week-to-week” with an injury, suggesting he may miss Week 11 against Tampa Bay. There is a drop-off from Kincaid to Know, but that latter should see a few more targets if Kincaid misses time, and it is always helpful when Josh Allen (QB-Buf) is your QB.
Brenton Strange (Jax)–He was averaging 40.8 receiving yards per game before his injury. He is eligible to return from the I.R., and reports have him possibly playing in Week 11.
Deeper League Add(s):
Harold Fannin Jr. (Cle)–I mention Fannin Jr. every week. The ceiling seems limited with Dillon Gabriel (QB-Cle) throwing, but he has a steady floor, and is a bit more valuable in PPR scoring, as he has at least 4 receptions in every game with Gabriel.
Noah Fant (Cin)–2 TDs in four games with Joe Flacco (QB-Cin). The yardage totals may never be there, but a TD reception may.
Mason Taylor (NYJ)–This is an add contingent on if/when Tyrod Taylor (QB-NYJ) takes over the starting job.
Taysom Hill (TE-NO)–I will say this every week. You know there will be that occasional game where he blows up. The chances may have increased for this to happen now that New Orleans has moved to a rookie QB and has traded its #2 WR. However, the flip side is he could also easily score a 0. They are on a bye this week, which means the coaching may lean into Hill a bit more come Week 12.
