- In Dalton Kincaid’s (TE-Buf) missed game in Week 06, Dawson Knox (TE-Buf) only saw 2 targets, but he caught one for 19 yards and a TD. In the three games Kincaid missed due to injury in 2024, Knox topped 40 receiving yards in two of the three—the other saw him miss time due to injury. Tampa Bay’s defense is middle of the pack against the TE position. What I am saying it Knox is not a bad play for Week 11.
- What are some more interesting plays at TE for Week 11, you ask. As long as Darren Waller (TE-Mia) is on I.R., Greg Dulcich (TE-Mia) is interesting. The 2022 3rd round pick looked like a possible TE star in the making for a couple of games his rookie year before injuries derailed his season. He has not been much of a factor in fantasy since then. However, he has seen his playing time increase over the last 3 games and has seen 9 targets over the last two. In addition, he will see a Washington defense that is simply not good in Week 11. There are not many legitimate receiving options on this offense, so Dulcich is a sneaky play. Another would be Brock Wright (TE-Det) with Sam LaPorta (TE-Det) being placed on I.R. Detroit kept San Francisco from signing Wright to a contract in 2024, so the team very much values his play.
- For IDP fantasy players, I would avoid Kenneth Murray (LB-Dal), Shemar James (LB-Dal), Logan Wilson (LB-Dal), and DeMarvion Overshown (LB-DaL) in Week 11 if possible. There is not enough clarity here to figure out how much playing time each player will receive. I would pay close attention prior to kickoff tomorrow to double-check Cincinnati’s linebacking plan for Week 12. Barrett Carter (LB-Cin) and Demetrius Knight Jr. (LB-Cin) have been nice plays for fantasy football, but they have shown limitations on the field regarding real football. With Cincinnati coming off a Bye Week, I am slightly apprehensive about their playing time, as the team could be looking for change in basically a must-win game against Pittsburgh.
- Regarding TNF’s Jets-Patriots matchup, my main takeaway, besides me wishing I had more shares of TreVeyon Henderson (RB-NE), is simple: sadly, there is no player on New York’s offense that I want any part of as long as Justin Fields (QB-NYJ) is starting. The thing is, however, is that New York’s deficiencies on offense were not entirely Fields’s fault, as there were some drops by his pass catchers, like Adonai Mitchell (WR-NYJ). It is more that there is just a lack of consistency with Fields, and that causes a lack of faith for anyone on this offense, including Breece Hall (RB-NYJ) and Mason Taylor (TE-NYJ). Garrett Wilson (WR-NYJ) was still useful, but with him on the I.R. now, there is just not much fantasy trust here for this team.
- Along the same vein as TreVeyon Henderson(RB-NE), who has taken advantage of more touches due to injuries, fellow rookie R.J. Harvey (RB-Den) looks like he is going to get many more touches now that J.K. Dobbins (RB-Den) is going to the I.R. and expected to miss the remainder of the season. I would not be worried about much competition from Tyler Badie (RB-Den) and Jaleel McLaughlin (RB-Den) for rushing attempts—they have combined for 3 attempts on the season. Now, as far as pass catching goes, however, I am a bit curious to see how many passing-down opportunities Badie will see. He sits on 18 targets for the season (Harvy has 29). Denver may choose not to incorporate Badie more to not overburden the rookie. Badie could be a deep league PPR add.
- For as long as Samaje Perine (RB-Cin) misses time, Chase Brown (RB-Cin) is a borderline RB1/2. The touches and scoring opportunities are what Brown truthers thought would be there before the season started.
- I wonder how the San Francisco offense will look now that it is getting more players returning from injury. Brock Purdy (QB-SF) and Ricky Pearsall (WR-SF) will both be returning to action in Week 11 against Arizona. I think if you were already relying on Mac Jones (QB-SF), then feel free to go with Purdy in Week 11. As for Pearsall, I would like to hold off starting him for a week only because we are not sure how many snaps he will actually see. That said, Pearsall, in my opinion, is a WR2 from this point forward. As for the impact on the rest of the offensive players, I “think” this should help improve the rushing stats for Christian McCaffrey (RB-SF), which have not been stellar thus far (3.5 YPC).
- As much as fantasy managers who roster Bucky Irving (RB-TB) wanted him to play in Week 11 against a vulnerable Buffalo rush defense, his not playing is probably for the best. We would not know how many snaps he would get after such a long layoff, and he being ruled OUT saved us from having to make a tricky decision. The fact that we finally see evidence that he is close to returning is very, very good news. Meanwhile, Rachaad White (RB-TB) and, for deeper leagues, Sean Tucker (RB-TB) get another week against, again, a vulnerable Buffalo rush defense, giving up the 2nd most YPC (5.5) and the 2nd most rushing TDs allowed (14-tied).
- I am always interested in how teams come out of a bye week. Kansas City is coming off of their bye week. What I have noticed is that KC tends to make adjustments that work for down the stretch, and I would not be surprised if that continues. Despite playing a stout Denver defense, I would still not hesitate playing Patrick Mahomes (QB-KC), Rashee Rice (WR-KC), Travis Kelce (TE-KC), and Kareem Hunt (RB-KC). To me, I “think” KC is going to lean a bit more into their running game, and with Isiah Pacheco (RB-KC) set to miss, Hunt is a solid RB2 play. Deep league fantasy managers should also pay attention when I say I would not be surprised if we saw more snaps for Tyquon Thornton (WR-KC)
- And finally…,I wonder if they caught the person who broke into the wig factory, yet. I hear the police are currently combing the area.
