Brief Edition—due to time constraints and my holiday schedule, brevity will be my goal here.

NOTE: These are players rostered in less than 50% of Yahoo leagues.

QUARTERBACK

This is not a good week here for options, but if you must:

Jameis Winston (NYG)–This is only if Jaxon Dart (QB-NYG) is ruled OUT.  It looks like Dart will play, but if not, what is more exciting than another week of the Jameis Winston experience?

Trevor Lawrence (Jax)–Facing a not very stingy Tennessee defense in Week 13.

Deeper League Adds:

Tyrod Taylor (NYJ)–He is competent.  His Week 13 opponent, Atlanta’s defense, is also competent.  Not the most ringing of endorsements, is it.

C.J. Stroud (Hou)–He should be returning to face a Colts team that will force Houston’s offense to try and score.  Not a great match-up, though.

Shedeur Sanders (Cle)–Who knows?

RUNNING BACK

Devin Neal (NO)–A reported knee sprain to Alvina Kamara (RB-NO) opens the door to the rookie.  Week 13’s opponent, Miami’s rush defense, should open that door wider for some success.  How much will be decided by the amount of touches, as I suspect Taysom Hill (TE-RB) will be a fantasy thorn in Neal’s side.

Chris Rodriguez Jr. (Was)-The fantasy fortunes for Jacory Coskey-Merritt (RB-Was) have seemed to all but fade away.  Sigh! For now, at least, it “appears” like Rodriquez Jr. is the lead back on this offense.  That said, Washington is coming off its Bye week, so I would not be surprised if something changes again.

Tyler Allgeier (Atl)–He has double digit carries in six of the eleven games Atlanta has played this season, and he has also scored a TD in six of those ten games, with 7 total TDs on the season.  He is a decent Bye Week flex play, and he seems clearly locked in as part of this offense and the hand-cuff to Bijan Robinson (RB-Atl).  With Kirk Cousins (QB-Atl) now in due to the injury to Michael Penix Jr. (QB-Atl), I would expect even more rushing attempts from this offense.  And the generous New York Jets run defense is up next.

Deeper League Add(s):

Bhayshul Tuten (Jax)–Rumours of a Tuten takeover of this backfield were quelled in Week 12.  Tuten was coming off an injured ankle, so that may have played a role in his reduced play.  Either way, Tennessee is on deck in Week 13, Tuten could have some room if given the touches.  In addition, he is a solid hand-cuff.

Blake Corum (LAR)–Kyren Williams (RB-LAC) leads this backfield, but Corum has seen some playing time.  Corum is one of those lottery tickets that could pay off.

Brian Robinson Jr. (SF)–He has seen 5-8 touches per game the last four weeks, and has scored a TD in two of those games. He is a decent hand-cuff.

Tank Bigsby (Phi)– This is the time to start consolidating your team and look to add your RB hand-cuffs in case something were to happen. For Saquon Barkley (RB-Phi) fantasy managers, Bigsby is next in line.  There would be a drop-off, though, as he is more of a 2 down back, and I believe Will Shipley (RB-Phi) would also see a bit

As well as serve as the 3rd down option on the team.

WIDE RECEIVER

Chimere Dike (Ten)–We have to start taking Dike seriously in fantasy leagues that award return yardage.  Yes, he is on a bad offense, but he is seeing the snaps and getting many return chances. He is my priority add of the week.

Christian Watson (GB)–Look, I am biased here, as I have been a Watson believer since he entered the league.  I have already mentioned him as a deeper league add in past columns when he was still on the I.R.  Now he is back.  His physical attributes and speed scream WR1.  The problem for him has been injuries, playing time, and occasional drops. Romeo Doubs (WR-GB) still looks like the wide receiver to roster on this team, but Watson has now paced the receiving room in snaps two weeks in a row.  He also has the penchant for the endzone, as demonstrated by his 2 TD performance in Week 11. I would go for the upside with Watson, despite the risks.  There are targets vacated by the injury to Tucker Kraft (TE-GB).  Why can’t Watson see some of them.  Just be aware of the issues surrounding him as well as the fact that this Green Bay offense tends to spread the ball around, and in addition, Jayden Reed (WR-GB) is reportedly close to returning, which could further complicate things.

Parker Washington (Jax)-As long as Brian Thomas Jr. (WR-Jax) is out, Washington has fantasy appeal.  Week 13 against a vulnerable Tennessee defense reinforces that.

Andrei Iosivas (Cin)–Ja’Marr Chase (WR-Cin) will return in Week 13, and apparently, so will Joe Burrow (QB-Cin).  Tee Higgins (WR-Cin), however, looks unlikely to suit up, leaving targets for Iosivas.

Greg Dortch (Ari)–Almost in same boat as Washington, As long as Marvin Harrison Jr. (WR-Ari) is out, Dortch, with his TDs in consecutive games, is an option.

John Metchie III (NYJ)–The 2022 2nd round pick Metchie III is looking like the best bet amongst the wide receivers as long as Garrett Wilson (WR-NYJ) is OUT.

Deeper League Add(s):

Jayden Reed (WR-GB)–If you are a believer in Reed, he is close to returning.  The issues surrounding this offense, as mentioned with Watson, however, still apply.

Mitch Tinsley (WR-Cin)–The rookie flashed in preseason and grabbed a TD in Week 12.  Joe Burrow is his QB.  He is the 3rd WR, but there are worst situations.

TIGHT END

Darren Waller (Mia)–If you are in need of help at the position for the stretch run and are willing to swing for the fences, Waller is the perfect addition.  His practice window has been opened, and his remaining schedule is overall pretty favorable to the tight end position.

Brenton Strange (Jax)–He returned from the I.R. in Week 13 and grabbed 5 targets for 93 yards.  Not too shabby!  If there was more scoring—he has not scored a TD in 5 complete games now, we would be discussing him as a solid TE1.

Colston Loveland (Chi)–If you want 4-5 targets for about 40-60 yards and maybe a TD, he is your guy.

Deeper League Add(s):

Dalton Schultz (Hou)–Week 12 was not pretty, but a Week 13 matchup against a TE-vulnerable Colts defense may help.

Harold Fannin Jr. (Cle)–I mention Fannin Jr. every week.  He has a steady floor and is seeing targets.  The ceiling just has not been there. Let’s see if Shedeur Sanders (Cle) can improve his fantasy scoring.

Taysom Hill (TE-NO)–I will say this every week.  You know there will be that occasional game where he blows up.  The chances may have increased for this to happen now that New Orleans has moved to a rookie QB and has traded its #2 WR. However, the flip side is he could also easily score a 0.
