QUARTERBACK

We have another “not a good week here” for options, but if you must:

Marcus Mariota (Was)–This is predicated on whether or not Jayden Daniels (QB-Was) suits up. Mariota has proven to be serviceable in fantasy over the past three starts (5 passing TDs), and getting Terry McLaurin (WR-Was) back on the field seems to have helped. He also has the rushing upside, averaging 42 yards a game those same three starts.  Week 14 sees him squaring off against a somewhat stingy Minnesota secondary, but fared pretty well against an even stingier secondary (Denver) in Week 13.

Tyrod Taylor (NYJ)–He is a professional quarterback. His Week 14 opponent, Miami’s defense, is not scary.  He has thrown for at least 1 TD in his past two starts, and he has a rushing TD.  He is an okay Bye Week replacement, though I am not expecting huge fantasy stats.

Deeper League Adds:

Tyler Shough (NO)–He faces a beatable Tampa Bay secondary in Week 14, and one would think Tampa Bay will score points, pressuring the Saints to pass.

Shedeur Sanders (Cle)–If no other options are available here, Cleveland is playing Tennessee.  Not a ringing endorsement, is it?

RUNNING BACK

Chris Rodriguez Jr. (Was)-The fantasy fortunes for Jacory Coskey-Merritt (RB-Was) have seemed to all but fade away.  Sigh! For now, at least, it “appears” like Rodriquez Jr. is the lead back on this offense.  He has scored a TD in 4 of his last 6 games, and has seen double-digit touches in 3 of the last 4.  I do not see Minnesota’s offense, the Week 14 opponent, scoring enough to keep him off the field; thus, game script is favorable for heavier usage here.

Tyler Allgeier (Atl)–He has double digit touches in seven of the twelve games Atlanta has played this season, and he has also scored a TD in seven of those games, with 8 total TDs on the season.  He is a decent Bye Week flex play, and he seems clearly locked in as part of this offense and the hand-cuff to Bijan Robinson (RB-Atl).   The biggest downside is Seattle’s defense is up next in Week 14.

Samaje Perine (Cin)–A thorn in the fantasy production of Chase Brown (RB-Cin), Perine is not going away.  In his first game back from injury, he saw 4 Red Zone touches/targets compared to Brown’s 5.  He also saw 40% of the snaps.  For this week, Cincinnati faces a Buffalo rush defense that is the 3rd most generous to the RB position.  He is not a bad play for Week 14.

Devin Neal (NO)–Alvina Kamara (RB-NO) is not expected to return for another week or so.  The good news for Neal is that he saw 81% of the snaps in Week 13.  The bad news is that he plays for the Saints, who are 4th worse in the league in running the ball and have the league worst 3 rushing TDs on the season.  Week 14’s opponent, Tampa Bay, does not have a particularly scary rush defense, so there is chance for some success here.

Devin Singletary (NYG)–When Tyrone Tracy Jr. (NYG) left Week 13’s game in a cart, Singletary had the look of a decent RB2 for the foreseeable future.  However, Tracy Jr.’s injury was minor, according to reports, and the G-Men have a Bye Week this week.  IF, however, the injury to Tracy Jr. turns out to be something worse, Singletary would be a low-end RB2 down the stretch.  Even with a healthy Tracy Jr., it sure does seem like the coaches simply like Singletary in short-yardage and goal line situations, as demonstrated by his 16 Redzone touches (compared to 7 for Tracy Jr.) over the last 4 games and 3 TDs (compared to Tracy Jr.’s 0) over the last three games.

Deeper League Add(s):

Bhayshul Tuten (Jax)–Rumors of a Tuten takeover of this backfield have subsided recently.  That said, he has scored in 3 of his last 5 games. In addition, he is a solid hand-cuff.

Blake Corum (LAR)–Kyren Williams (RB-LAC) leads this backfield, but Corum has seen some playing time.  Corum is one of those lottery tickets that could pay off.

Brian Robinson Jr. (SF)–He has seen 5-8 touches per game the last four weeks, and has scored a TD in two of those games. He is a decent hand-cuff.

Emanuel Wilson (GB)- This is the time to start consolidating your team and look to add your RB hand-cuffs in case something were to happen.

Tank Bigsby (Phi)– This is the time to start consolidating your team and look to add your RB hand-cuffs in case something were to happen. For Saquon Barkley (RB-Phi) fantasy managers, Bigsby is next in line.  There would be a drop-off, though, as he is more of a 2 down back, and I believe Will Shipley (RB-Phi) would also see a bit of touches as well as serve as the 3rd down option on the team.

WIDE RECEIVER

Devaughn Vele (NO)–The 2024 7th round draft pick has seen 15 targets over the past two games and has gone 11-130-1 during that stretch.  He has also played 88% or more during those games.  The Saints will probably need to pass against Week 13’s opponent, Tampa Bay.

Adonai Mitchell (NYJ)–The 2024 2nd round draft pick has also seen numerous targets recently (19 over the past 2 games), and he has gone for 10-148-1 during that span. He also has seen over 85% of the snaps the last two weeks.  His Week 13 opponent, Miami, is stingy versus wide receivers, but after that, the remaining schedule is pretty neutral.

Deeper League Add(s):

Jayden Reed (WR-GB)–If you are a believer in Reed, he is close to returning.  The issues surrounding this offense, as mentioned with Watson, however, still apply.

Chimere Dike (Ten)–If your league awards fantasy points for return yardage, Dike has a solid floor.  Even with Elic Ayomanor (WR-Ten) returning from injury, Dike still saw 76% of the WR snaps.  But being on a bad offense, the ceiling is limited.

Adam Thielen (Pit)–The Steelers are in need of another pass catcher.  Thielen is a pass catcher.  This is a longshot addition, but he may have some value down the stretch.  (In case you missed it, Thielen was claimed off of waivers by Pittsburgh this afternoon (12/02/2025).

TIGHT END

Darren Waller (Mia)–If you are in need of help at the position for the stretch run and are willing to swing for the fences, Waller is the perfect addition.  He returned to action in Week 13 and almost had a TD reception.

Brenton Strange (Jax)–Since his return from the I.R. in Week 12, he has grabbed 8 of 9 targets for 138 yards and 1 TD over the past two games. Not too shabby!  One would think Jacksonville will need to keep up with the Colts offense in Week 14, so there should be targets here. In addition, the Colts defense has allowed the 6th most fantasy points to the TE position.

Harold Fannin Jr. (Cle)–I mention Fannin Jr. every week.  He has a steady floor and is seeing targets.  The ceiling just has not been there. However, he is now also seeing significantly more snaps over the past 2 games (over 90%), and David Njoku (TE-Cle) is seeing less.  I find that very interesting!

Colston Loveland (Chi)–If you want 4-7 targets for about 40-60 yards and maybe a TD, he is your guy.

Deeper League Add(s):

Dalton Schultz (Hou)–He may not score many TDs (1 for the season), but he remains involved in the offense (only 3 games this season with less than 5 targets).

Taysom Hill (TE-NO)–I will say this every week.  You know there will be that occasional game where he blows up.  The chances may have increased for this to happen now that New Orleans has moved to a rookie QB and has traded its #2 WR. However, the flip side is he could also easily score a 0.
