Week 14 recap: We are seven ninths of the way done. Seems like only yesterday I knew what I was doing. Let’s see how this past week went. First off, at QB, I said to start Daniel Jones and Tyler Shough. Unfortunately, Jones got hurt in his game, but beforehand, he had 60 yards passing and a pick, so I was wrong to start him. Shough ended up with only 144 yards passing, along with 55 yards rushing, 2 TDs, and a pick. Just good enough to make me right to start him. At RB, I said to start R. J. Harvey and Kimani Vidal. In his game, Harvey had 75 yards rushing, 25 yards receiving, and a TD. I was right to start him. Vidal, meanwhile, ended up with 44 yards rushing, 60 yards receiving, and nothing else. Not good enough; I was wrong to start him. For the wide outs, I said to start Zay Flowers and Jakobi Meyers. Flowers had 124 yards receiving and nothing else. I was right to start him. Meyers ended up with 39 yards receiving and a TD, so I was right to start him too. For the tight ends, I said to start Dalton Kincaid and Mark Andrews. Kincaid had 41 yards receiving and a TD. I was right to start him. Andrews, however, had only 1 catch for 9 yards and nothing else; I was wrong to start him. For the team defenses, I said to start the Buccaneers and the Browns. The Bucs got upset by the Saints, gave up 24 points, along with 3 sacks and a pick. I was wrong to start them. The Browns were also upset, gave up 31 points, along with 1 sack and a pick. I was wrong to start them too.

QB:

J. J. McCarthy – Do you dare? Why not, if you need a home run and your top option has a crap matchup. He faces a Cowboys D that has given up the most passing yards and TDs so far this year. Go big or go home.

Brock Purdy – In the games he has actually played this year, he hasn’t been terribly good, but this week, against a bottom 10 pass D in Tennessee, he might have his best game of the year.

RB:

Tyrone Tracy, Jr. – He is back and facing a bottom 10 rush D in Washington. Good matchup coming back from injury, or just a good matchup regardless.

Aaron Jones, Sr. – Since I picked a junior, let’s pick a senior as well. Jones also faces a bottom 10 rush D from the NFC East in the Cowboys. Good matchup here too.

WR:

Stefon Diggs – He did well the last time they played this year against his former club the Bills. The extra motivation should still be there in this pivotal matchup.

Justin Jefferson – It is weird to tell you to start him, but it has come to this. It helps they have a Cowboys pass D that is 2nd worse in the league. After such low numbers last week, I expect they go to him early and often.

TE:

Theo Johnson – He has been absent of recent, but with a matchup against the 2nd worst team against tight ends in Washington, we take the risk.

Travis Kelce – I expect a big rebound game for him after possibly his worst game of the year, maybe even ever. Be confident.

D:

Cowboys – A home game against a Vikings team that is just meh. The Vikings have a good pass D, but not good enough to stop Dak and all his receiver weapons. Cowboys stay alive.

49ers – I know the Titans just got a big upset win, but I’m not buying it. What am I buying? I am buying a 49ers home victory.
