- I think Greg Dulcich (TE-Mia) is going to see 6+ targets against New England, with Darren Waller (TE-Mia) heading to the I.R. and De’Von Achane (RB-Mia) listed as doubtful. Targets tend to lead to fantasy points.
- Speaking of Miami, I would go with Jaylen Wright (RB-Mia) over Ollie Gordon III (RB-Mia) if I need to pick one, but it is close. I can envision a split backfield.
- Speaking of split backfields, Chris Rodriguez Jr. (RB-Was) gets the nod from me over Jacory Croskey-Merritt (RB-Was).
- Staying with the backfield theme, I was very interested in starting Jaydon Blue (RB-Dal) in Week 18, but I am less inclined to start him now that Phil Mafah (RB-Dal) has been activated off of the I.R.
- Jahan Dotson(WR-Phi) and Grant Calcaterra (TE-Phi) are sneaky solid plays in Week 18.
- Staying with Philadelphia, I really do not have a good feel on how the backfield will play out. Saquon Barkley (RB-Phi) is about 80 total yards from earning a $250K incentive bonus. I would be slightly surprised if he does not even get the opportunity to reach that. That said, it sure does look like Tank Bigsby (RB-Phi) is the play, but I am not overly confident of that.
- Kevin Austin Jr.(WR-NO) and Juwan Johnson (TE-NO) are going to be very busy against Atlanta in Week 18 with Chris Olave (WR-NO) set to miss.
- IF Amon-Ra St. Brown(WR-Det) misses Week 18 after all, Isaac TeSlaa (WR-Det) is a top 18 WR for me this week. In fact, I pretty much love every skill position player on Detroit—I think David Montgomery (RB-Det) may see more work as there is a non-zero chance he may get cut in the offseason, and I love all pass catchers on Chicago—let’s see what Luther Burden III and Colston Loveland (TE-Chi) can do for an encore.
- No team has sacked Joe Burrow (QB-Cin) more than Cleveland, so Myles Garrett (DE-Cle) has a legitimate shot as the sack record.
- And finally…, I tried to figure out exactly where the sun went on New Years Eve. Then, suddenly, it dawned on me.
