Week 10 recap: Week stick and stone has passed. Did my picks stick right there, or did they stone you? Let’s see. First off, at QB, I said to start Caleb Williams and Jared Goff. In his game, Williams got 220 yards passing, 63 yards rushing, and 2 TDs. I was right to start him. Goff ended up with 320 yards passing and 3 TDs. I was right to start him too. For RBs, I said to start Rico Dowdle and both Swift and Monangai. Dowdle got 53 yards rushing, 10 yards receiving, and a TD. I was right to start him three. In their game, Swift got 80 yards rushing, 18 yards receiving, and nothing else, while Monangai got 28 yards rushing and a TD. So, if you had Swift, I was wrong to start him, but if you had Monangai, about as expected, so a push for you. For the WRs, I said to start Garrett Wilson and Wan’Dale Robinson. Robinson had 62 yards receiving and nothing else. I was wrong to start him. Wilson got hurt and ended up with only zero yards on no catches so I was wrong to start him too. For the tight ends, I said to start Dalton Kincaid and Dalton Schultz. Kincaid had 37 yards receiving and nothing else, while Schultz had 53 yards receiving and a TD. I was wrong about Dalton K, but I was right about Dalton S. For the team defenses, I said to start the Bears and the Lions. Oh my! The Bears won, held the Giants to 20 points, along with 4 sacks and a fumble recovery. I was right to start them. The Lions also won, held the Commanders to 22 points, along with 2 sacks and nothing else. I was right to start them too.
QB:
Jacoby Brissett – 4 straight games producing over the projected numbers, not just for him, but for top 10 QBs too, and this week he has a bottom 10 pass D in the 49ers. Yes, please.
Aaron Rodgers – Especially after his last game, what a stinker, he will want to look to be better. It will help that is up against a Cincy D that he threw 4 TDs against a few weeks ago. The signs are there for a turnaround game.
RB:
Jaylen Warren – Speaking of Pittsburgh, he also faces this same Bengals team that is last in the league against the rush. Take that, and the fact he rushed for over 100 yards against them the last time out and feel confident in playing him this week.
R. J. Harvey – With Dobbins hurt, he will get most of the RB duties, rushing and receiving. With these opportunities, he has the chance for some good stats against a slightly better than average Chiefs rush D. Worth the risk.
WR:
Devonta Smith – Seems like he is a better option than Brown these days. He has been way more consistent, and we love consistency, especially when one goes up against a bottom 3 pass D in the Lions.
Jordan Addison – He had the targets last game, so he is still getting the opportunities. Maybe it is a hunch, but I think he gets the play this week, while Nailor goes back to being himself. It also helps that he will face the 2nd worst pass D in the league in the Bears.
TE:
Zach Ertz – He should be back on your roster this week as the matchup dependent TE has a match up against a Dolphins team that is at the bottom of the league against the position.
Noah Fant – He scored the last time out against Pittsburgh, and the opportunities should be there again this go around as well. Good sub option if needed.
D:
Ravens – They might be back (shutters). And their D might be turning it around (shutte
rs). Trust them on the road against the Browns who do not have a QB to be relied upon and feared.
Dolphins – I just don’t trust a Mariotta led team, and the way the Dolphins shined against the Bills last week, they could keep that ju ju going and take care of the Commanders this week too.
