Recap from Week 13: Hope you all had a good Thanksgiving holiday. Let’s see how I did on our Thanksgiving and Black Friday games. In the 1st game, I said to start Jordan Love. Well, he had 234 yards passing and 4 TDs, so I was right to start him. In the next game, I said to bench George Pickens. He ended up with 88 yards receiving and a 2 point conversion. Good numbers for some, but less than what was projected for him; therefore, I was right to sit him. In the 3rd game, I said to start Mark Andrews. He ended up with 47 yards receiving and nothing else, so I was wrong to start him. Finally, in the Friday game, I said to bench both Bears TEs, Loveland and Kmet. In this game, Loveland ended up with 28 yards receiving and nothing else, while Kmet had only 36 yards receiving, but he got a TD. So, a push for me here.
Our week 14 early game brings us to Detroit where the Lions host the hot Cowboys. First off, if you benched Pickens last week like I said, make sure you put him back in the lineup this week against the Lions. Secondly, while the Lions are poor against the pass, they are good against the run, so let’s bench Javonte Williams for Dallas. Finally, this game feels like a shootout, and by shootout, I mean one with TDs, not one with FGs, but probably not enough TDs to make up for a lack of FGs, so let’s bench both kickers, Bates and Aubrey.
