Recap from Week 15: What an upset by the Falcons. That division is in chaos now. Let’s see how chaotic my picks were for last week’s early game. First off, I said to play both kickers. Well, McLaughlin had 2 FGs and 2 X-Points, while Gonzalez had 1 FG and 2 X-Points. If you had McLaughlin, a push here, but if you had Gonzo, well, I was wrong to start him. Next, I said to start the Tampa D. I was wrong here too as they lost, gave up 29 points, along with a sack and a fumble recovery. Finally, I said to start Pitts at tight end, and was I ever right about this one. He ended up with the game of his life with 3 TDs and 116 yards receiving. Delicious.
Our week 16 early edition gives us a Thursday night game, along with 2 Saturday games too, all divisional matchups. So, like before, I will pick a start or a sit from each game. The 1st game, on Thursday, pits the Rams and the Seahawks, a huge one. In this game, I say to bench Kenneth Walker. The Rams are top 3 in rush D and just shut down possibly the best RB in the game last week. The early game on Saturday puts us in Washington where the Commanders host the Eagles. In this game, I would start Dallas Goedert as the Commanders are bottom 3 against the position. Finally, in the Saturday night game, we go to Chicago where the Bears host the Packers. With the Packers having some banged up WRs, this seems like a game Love will need to, and will go to Doubs for some dependable plays. Start him, especially since he was goose-egged the last time they played each other.
