Week 15 recap: Are you sitting at home waiting for next year? Were my picks last week sit worthy? Let’s see. First off, at QB, I said to sit Drake Maye and Patrick Mahomes. Maye ended up with only 155 yards passing, but he also had 43 yards rushing, 2 TDs, and a pick. Collectively, just over projections making me wrong to sit him. Mahomes, however, had 189 yards passing, 15 yards rushing, 1 TD, a pick, an injury, and an elimination from playoff consideration. I was (gleefully) right to sit him. At RB, I said to sit Breece Hall and Blake Corum. Hall ended up with 23 yards rushing, 14 yards receiving, and nothing else. I was right to sit him. Corum, meanwhile, had 71 yards rushing and a TD. I was wrong to sit him. At wide out, I said to sit Christian Watson and Xavier Worthy. Watson got hurt, but beforehand, he had 29 yards receiving and nothing else. I was right to sit him. Worthy ended up with 35 yards receiving and nothing else, so I was right to sit him too. For the tight ends, I said to sit Hunter Henry and Dallas Goedert. Henry had only 18 yards receiving and nothing else, thereby making me right to sit him. Goedert, however, ended up with 70 yards receiving and 2 TDs. I was wrong to sit him. For the team defenses, I said to sit the Ravens and the Colts. The Ravens won, held the Bengals scoreless, along with 3 sacks, 2 picks, and a defensive score. I was way off here. The Colts did lose, gave up only 18 points, along with only 1 sack. I was right to sit them.
QB:
Baker Mayfield – He is just not statting it up of recent, and a matchup against a top 10 pass D doesn’t make things any better. Try again.
Trevor Lawrence – He just had his best game ever, so unfortunately, the let down for his next game may be more of a drop off since his follow-up game is against a top 5 pass D in Denver. And the game is in Denver too. Big drop off from last game.
RB:
Jaylen Warren – With Gainwell gaining on him with touches, and a match up against a top 3 ranked rush D in Detroit, we say sit him and be confident in the sitting.
Ashton Jeanty – Tough game after tough game for the rookie, and this week is not any easier as he faces a top 10 rush D in Houston. Like most games for the Raiders, they will be playing from behind so the game flow will not benefit him.
WR:
George Pickens – He has fizzled of recent, and this week does not any easier as he faces a Chargers team that is the best in the league against wide outs regarding fantasy production.
Jakobi Meyers – He will be the more respected of the wide outs by the #1 ranked Denver pass D. So, he will probably see extra coverage. I say he struggles more than Thomas in this game.
TE:
Hunter Henry – Let’s kick him while he is down and keep him on the sitter. He faces a top 5 Ravens D against tight ends. Not today coach.
Harold Fannin, Jr., – He faces a Bills pass D that is #1 against tight ends. Need I say more? Okay. Well, he still has Sanders as the QB trying to get him the ball.
D:
Steelers – On the road against a Lions offense that can turn up the volume. No thanks. Not on my watch.
Jaguars – Yes, they are good, but I don’t trust Lawrence to keep up with the Broncos D, a top 3 D in that. On the road in Denver the Jags D will start strong, but fade at the end.
