Week 16 recap: Anybody out there? Anybody still listening to me? If so, let’s see how my starters did last week. At QB, I said to start Justin Herbert and Tyler Shough. Herbert ended up with 300 yards passing, 42 yards rushing, and 3 TDs. I was right to start him. Shough ended up with 308 yards passing, 8 yards rushing, and a TD. Just over for him, thereby making me right to start him too. At RB, I said to start Omarion Hampton and Audric Estime. Estime had only 19  yards rushing and 17 yards receiving, so I was wrong to start him. Hampton, meanwhile, had 85 yards rushing, 10 yards receiving, and a TD. So, I was right to start him. At wide out, I said to start D. K. Metcalf and Jauan Jennings. Metcalf got 42 yards receiving and a 2 game suspension. I was wrong to start him. Jennings did not get a suspension. Instead, he had 71 yards receiving and a TD, so I was right to start him. For the tight ends, I said to start Kyle Pitts and Darron Waller. Pitts had 57 yards receiving and a TD. I was right to start him. Waller ended up with 40 yards receiving and nothing else; I was wrong about him. For the team defenses, I said to start the Buccaneers and the Titans. The Bucs did not pull off the upset, losing, giving up 23 points, along with 2 sacks. I was wrong about them. The Chiefs did play dead, giving the Titans a rare W, who held the Chiefs to 9 points, along with 4 sacks, and a safety. I was right about them.

QB:

Baker Mayfield – After some so-so and a few bad games, it is time to put him back in your lineup as he faces a Dolphins D with little to play for and currently ranked in the bottom 10 against the pass.

Tyler Shough – He got his 1st 300 yard game last week, and he has been consistently just above average. This trend should continue against the Titans, a bottom 10 pass D in the league.

RB:

Ashton Jeanty – Big game. Little game. Big stats. Little stats. A matchup against a bottom 5 rush D in the Giants. Signs point to big game with big stats.

Michael Carter – If you need a sub, and you have him, this is the week of all the weeks to give him a shot as he faces, statistically, the worst ranked rush D in the league in the Bengals. No guts, no glory.

WR:

Chris Olave – He has had 2 strong games of recent, and there is no reason this trend should end this week against the Titans, who are currently a bottom 10 team against WRs so far this year.

Parker Washington – You need a homerun ball? You willing to risk it? If so, Washington is your man, for he has put up some big numbers in some games this year, and with a matchup against a bottom 3 pass D in Indy, the ceiling is very high for him this week.

TE:

Harold Fannin, Jr. – He had good stats the last time out against the Steelers who still remain bottom 3 in the league against the position. Worth the risk.

Cade Otton – He hasn’t been much of an elite producer this year, but he has a great matchup against a Dolphins team next to last against the position. Worth the shot if needed.

D:

Bengals – They were solid at Miami last week, and this week they have a home game against a Cards team fighting for the #1 draft pick next year.

Browns – Call it a hunch, but I say the Browns play well against their nemesis as this is their “super bowl.” Steelers slip up here and will have to win against Ball-more their final week. Browns steel this one.
