Week 6 recap: ⅓ of sitting down the crappy and ⅔ more crap to deal with. Were my sitters rightfully crapped out or were my decisions crappy? Let’s smell and find out. At QB, I said to sit Kyler Murray and Justin Fields. Murray ended up not playing, but we will play the proxy game, so Brissett ended up with 320 yards passing, 19 yards rushing, 2 TDs, and a pick. I was wrong to sit him/them. Fields was way worse with a mere 45 yards passing, you read that right, 31 yards rushing, and nothing else. I was very right to sit him. At running back, I said to sit Derrick Henry and Jaylen Warren. Henry ended up with 122 yards rushing and nothing else. I was wrong to sit him. Warren obtained 52 yards rushing, 11 yards receiving, and nothing else. I was right to sit him. At wide out, I said to sit Jameson Williams and Tee Higgins. Williams showed up with 66 yards receiving and a TD, thereby making me wrong to sit him. Higgins, however, ended up with 62 yards receiving but no score, so I was right to sit him. At tight end, I said to sit Sam LaPorta and Dalton Kincaid. LaPorta got 55 yards receiving and a TD, so I was wrong to sit him. Kincaid, meanwhile, ended up not playing, but his counterpart Knox ended up with only 1 catch, however it was for 19 yards, and it was a TD. So, I was wrong to sit him/them. For the team defenses, I said to sit the Browns and the Chiefs. The Browns lost, gave up 23 points, along with nothing else; I was right to sit them. The Chiefs actually showed up and won. They gave up only 17 points to the Lions, along with a sack. I was wrong to sit them. Alright, I am tired of sitting and ready to stand. No wait, time to sit again. Here we go week 7.
QB:
Drake Maye – He has been up and down, good and not so far this year. In the cycle, he is due for a bad one, and it should happen as projected since he faces a solid Tennessee pass D. Not worth the risk.
Sam Darnold – He has done well this season, but he faces the #1 pass D in the league in Houston this week. His stats may not be bad, but they will be tempered. If a high ceiling is needed, look elsewhere.
RB:
Travis Etienne – He has been bottled up the last two weeks, and this week he faces a #1 rush D in the Rams, who have only given up 1 rushing TD so far.
Tony Pollard – I have tried to start him, but no luck. So, this week I am sitting him against a top 10 rush D in New England, which will probably cause him to do well. Or will it?
WR:
A.J. Brown – I could have picked Smith here too, but I’ll stick with just Brown since he has more expectations. He faces the #1 pass D, and the Eagles passing offense is not really soaring. They are not ready.
Wan’Dale Robinson – Boom or bust. This week equals a bust as he faces a Denver D that is top 3 in the league against the pass. No thanks.
TE:
Theo Johnson – They are coming off a strong win, but he also faces that top 3 Denver pass D, who also happens to be top 5 against this position.
T. J. Hockenson – Add to the fact he is just not getting the play, he faces a top 3 pass D in Philly against tight ends; therefore, I say no can do Scarpacci.
D:
Bucs – Yes, I would sit the 5 and 1 Bucs D this week. They are on the road against a Lions team that just got handled by the Chiefs. I don’t expect them to be handled 2 weeks in a row.
Commanders – Their D is pretty good, but Dallas’ offense has been good too. This could be a shoot out in Dallas with the last team with the ball winning. Not worth the risk.
